Nokia X5-01: Unique Squarish QWERTY Smart Phone with 5MP camera

Nokia has announced the launch of new X series music centric phone known as X5-01 during the Nokia Connection event at Singapore. The QWERTY handset comes with a unique squarish look featuring an excellent 5MP camera and whopping social networking tools. The phone also comes studded with awesome multimedia options, accompanied with dedicated music keys and loud speakers.

The best part about the handset is that it will feature Symbian v3 as its operating system. Nokia X5-01 comes with a screen size of 2.36 inch bearing a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.

Regarding the connectivity issues, it supports GPRS, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA and even WiFi. As stated earlier, it also focuses on social networking services. The phone offers easy access to major social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Hi5 and MySpace.

Nokia X5-01 has 200MB of onboard memory and you can always expand the memory options up to 32 GB. Moreover, the handset boasts of its unique spinning and shaking feature. Its spinning feature allows you to change music tracks whereas by shaking the phone, you can view all the unread messages.

Another cool thing about the phone is that it comes with various color options like Yellow Green, Purple, Pink, Graphite Black and Azure.

The handset is expected to be available in third quarter of 2010 at an expected price of 165 Euros (Approx Rs. 9500) in India.

My Verdict

Nokia X5-01 seems to be cool announcement from Nokia. It comes with stunning multimedia options including 5MP camera. The handset also offers brilliant social networking services as well as connectivity options. If you like the squarish look of Nokia X5-01, then it is definitely worth a bargain.
